While the planter is designed to be succulent friendly, with a large drainage hole to help the soil drain excess moisture, you can use it for any plant that you desire. Because this is a handmade item, size will vary, but each planter has around a 3 1/2" opening, is about 4" - 4 1/2" deep, with an overall height of 6" - 6 1/2".
